The largest wealth transfer in Canadian history, $400-billion from one generation to the next, is in process right now.  How is that transfer of wealth – and the role women play in financial matters – changing perceptions around philanthropic planning?

That was the question tackled April 14th by Senior Wealth Advisor Gillian Stovel Rivers and an esteemed panel of female advisors in a virtual panel discussion at the 27th annual conference of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners:  The Challenge of Change:  Reimagining The Future of Philanthropy.

The event was chaired by Serena Hak, Head of Philanthropic Advisory Services at CI Assante Wealth Management.  Gillian and Serena were accompanied by these esteemed participants:

  • Joady Guyot, Vice President of Advisor Development, Assante Wealth Management
  • Janine Purves, Senior Financial Advisor at Assante Capital Management Ltd. And Planned Giving Consultant at The Donor Motivation Program® Canada
  • Betty-Anne Howard, Planned Giving Consultant with The Donor Motivation Program® Canada and Certified Financial Planner, Assante Financial Management Ltd.
